Does the literature of Islamic philosophy in the classical period have any importance for the study of the philosophy of mind? What kind of paradigm does Islamic philosophy exhibit in philosophy of mind studies? Or have Islamic philosophers been able to create discourses that can really be evaluated within the framework of philosophy of mind in modern studies? Seeking answers to these and similar questions, the book deals with the discourses of Islamic philosophers on the philosophy of mind from an original perspective. Focusing on the contributions of the Islamic tradition of thought in the field of philosophy of mind, the book examines how this tradition of thought can offer a perspective to contemporary philosophy of mind studies.
